HMRC Update on VAT for Betting, Gaming and Lotteries.

Following on in part due to the change in Duty on gaming (and other) machines, HMRC has issued an updated notice to explain how VAT applies to machine games and more generally to  betting and gaming aswell as bingo and lotteries. The new notice replaces the previous one issued in June 2011.The technical content of the notice has been updated following amendments to the law on machine games and the introduction of "MGD" (Machine Game Duty) which we have updated you on previously.
